Your first working session

From a list of tools to a list of actions.

01 · Inventory

Identify the decisions.

Use the AI Inventory Worksheet and Vendor Inventory Map to record the tool, owner, affected decision and unanswered questions.

02 · Evidence

Ask the vendor.

Use the twelve-question questionnaire. Track each response and supporting document; assign someone to resolve the gaps.

03 · Internal review

Prepare the next decision.

Adapt the notice materials and posture memo with counsel, then assign owners and dates using the ninety-day implementation plan.

Open sample · fictional example

What a useful vendor record looks like.

Illustration only: an HR team uses a fictional tool, Acorn Screen, to rank applications. Its vendor says the tool has been tested, but has not provided the underlying report. Here is how the team could turn that answer into follow-up work.

Fictional vendor evidence record, based on questionnaire question three
FieldExample entry
Tool and decisionAcorn Screen · ranks applicants for recruiter review
Question 3: testingVendor reports annual testing; report and population description not supplied
Response statusPartial · supporting documentation missing
Next actionHR operations owner requests results, methodology and deployment-population comparison
Review decisionHR and counsel review the evidence and decide whether to change the use of the tool

A complete response is an evidence-management step, not a finding that the system complies with applicable law. This example does not describe a customer or a customer result.

Portrait of Khullani M. Abdullahi

Khullani M. Abdullahi, JD

Founder & Principal Advisor

I founded Techné AI as an independent practice at the intersection of AI governance, regulatory compliance, and D&O liability. I authored the AI Governance & D&O Liability briefing now in active circulation among directors, officers, broker partners, and the underwriters who serve them; after my testimony to the Illinois Senate Executive Subcommittee on AI and Social Media, one of the recommendations from that testimony became an AI-risk impact study bill. I host the AI in Chicago podcast — the public interview record of this practice — where I interview the researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers shaping the field.

Before you subscribe.

How does access work?

Pay through Stripe using the email you want to use for the library. After successful payment, the welcome email directs the purchaser to sign in. For the three-seat license, reply with the two additional readers at your organization; their access is currently activated by our team.

Are these editable Word or Excel files?

The current TalentSight downloads are PDFs. You can read and adapt the templates from the portal. Word and Excel downloads are not included in the current package.

Does this cover every state?

This package focuses on Illinois. It does not include a national hiring-law tracker or a determination of which laws apply to your organization. Review each document’s date and scope before using it in another jurisdiction.

Does the subscription renew automatically?

No. The price covers twelve months of access paid once. Subscribe by September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM Central, and retain your original renewal rate while your subscription remains continuous.

What is the refund policy?

Cancel within 30 days of purchase for a full refund by emailing info@techne.ai. After 30 days, subscriptions are non-refundable. The subscription terms apply.

Who is eligible?

HR, talent and people leaders, and in-house counsel at operating organizations. AI hiring-tool vendors, their staff, and competing consultancies are excluded under the existing subscriber policy; detection results in a refund and removal.

This library provides educational research and templates. It does not determine your organization’s compliance or replace review by licensed counsel and qualified insurance advisors.
